Free The Tone SL-8S Pro-Gold Solderless DC Straight Plug (SL8S Pro Gold)

Build cleaner, more reliable patch cables without ever picking up a soldering iron. The Free The Tone SL-8S is a straight solderless plug designed specifically for use with CU-416 cable, engineered in Japan for pedalboard builders who refuse to compromise on signal quality.

Unlike conventional plug structures, the cable’s centre conductor and plug tip are connected inside the plug for a tight, strong connection — joined at the shortest possible distance to minimise signal path and avoid sound deterioration. The slightly viscous outer jacket of the CU-416 grips the set screw on contact, keeping it locked in place and preventing it from working loose over time.

The result is a custom-length patch cable that’s quick to assemble, rock-solid in use, and consistent in sound quality from one build to the next.

Compatible with Free The Tone CU-416 cable only. Sold individually.
