Big news for our JB community — Emusic Johor Bahru has officially moved to a brand new home, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. The new showroom is bigger, better laid out, and designed to make discovering and testing instruments a genuinely enjoyable experience.
Spread across three thoughtfully designed floors at Taman Mount Austin, the new space brings together guitars, digital pianos, grand pianos, drum kits, used pianos, and more — all under one roof. Here’s a look at what’s waiting for you inside.
The moment you step through the entrance, the layout pulls you in. To your left, a striking guitar display wall lines the room — acoustic and electric guitars from Crafter, Covenant, Epiphone, Squier, and Ibanez, arranged for easy browsing across styles and price ranges.
Directly beneath the guitars, amplifiers from Coolmusic, Boss, Marshall, and Orange are set up and ready to plug into, so you can hear exactly how each instrument sounds before you decide. That’s how choosing a guitar should feel.
Head to the far right corner and you’ll notice something a little special: selected acoustic guitars stored inside Lenthem temperature-regulated boxes. These climate-controlled cases maintain optimal humidity levels — protecting the wood, preserving tonal quality, and ensuring every instrument stays in top playing condition year-round.
Along the right wall, shelving units display violins, saxophones, and music books — creating a complete musical ecosystem within a single floor. At the counter, a glass display case holds essential accessories, while behind it, you’ll find ukuleles, guitar strings, and cables neatly organised for quick browsing.
Also on Level 1: our dedicated in-house service centre, providing instrument maintenance, repairs, and technical support. Great service doesn’t stop at the point of purchase — and our team is here to keep your instruments playing their best long after you take them home.
Heading upstairs, the atmosphere shifts into something more refined and showroom-like. Level 2 is divided into two distinct sections — one for acoustic pianos, one for drums.
Before you even step through the glass doors into Level 2, something on the wall will catch your eye — Emusic’s history board, tracing the brand’s journey from 2014 all the way to today. On one side of the floor, you’ll find a curated selection of brand new upright and grand pianos from some of the most respected names in the industry: Kawai uprights, the Shigeru Kawai concert series, GX Series grands, WST uprights and grands, and Schonbrunn uprights and grands.
Several pianos are presented on elevated platforms to let them stand out visually. Crystal lighting overhead and warm wood plank wall finishes give this section a calm, focused ambience — the kind of environment where you can sit, play, and truly listen.
Separated by a glass wall and door, the drum showcase area gives drummers their own proper space. Electric kits from WST, Alesis, and Roland are on display alongside acoustic drum kits from Pearl. The glass partition creates a distinct zone without closing the room off — it’s visually open, acoustically separate, and designed for unhurried exploration.
The third floor is dedicated entirely to pre-owned instruments — one of the most comprehensive used piano collections you’ll find in Johor Bahru. Upright pianos, grand pianos, and digital pianos from respected brands, including Kawai and Yamaha, are spread across the space, covering a wide range of budgets without compromising on quality.
Whether you’re a student starting out, a family looking for a home piano, or a player who prefers the character of a well-kept vintage instrument — this floor gives you room to explore, compare, and take your time. The same warm wood-accented walls and crystal lighting continue here, keeping the atmosphere consistent and welcoming throughout.
