Taylor 70714 Premium DarkTone 351 Taylex Smoke Grey Guitar Picks, 1.25mm, 6-Pack

Experience bold tonal expression and precise picking control with the Taylor 70714 Premium DarkTone 351 Taylex Smoke Grey Guitar Picks, a premium collection designed for guitarists seeking a powerful, articulate response. Part of Taylor Guitars’ innovative DarkTone Series, these picks combine a proprietary thermoplastic material with precision-cut construction to deliver impressive tonal definition and comfortable playability.

Developed to produce the boldest response within Taylor’s DarkTone collection, the Taylex material delivers a distinctive tonal balance featuring punchy midrange frequencies, a smooth low end, and sparkling treble. This combination helps bring out the natural character of your guitar while maintaining the clarity and definition required for expressive playing.

Featuring a substantial 1.25mm thickness, these picks provide a firm and controlled playing feel with minimal flexibility. Their construction supports a confident string attack, making them particularly suitable for guitarists who prefer aggressive picking techniques, dynamic rhythm playing, and articulate single-note passages.

The traditional 351 pick shape features a familiar teardrop-style profile that fits comfortably between the fingers. Its pointed tip allows accurate string contact, while the precision-cut edges encourage smooth string release for consistent playing performance.

Finished in an elegant Smoke Grey colour, the Taylor Taylex picks combine understated styling with practical functionality. Their distinctive appearance complements their premium construction, making them an appealing choice for musicians who appreciate both performance and aesthetics.

These picks are especially suitable for players with a strong picking attack, including acoustic guitarists seeking greater projection and definition, as well as electric guitarists who prefer a substantial pick for precise rhythm and lead playing.

Manufactured in the USA, each retail pack contains six Taylor Taylex guitar picks of identical thickness and shape. Whether you’re practising at home, recording in the studio, or performing live, the Taylor Premium DarkTone 351 Taylex Picks offer an excellent combination of punchy tone, smooth string response, and reliable control.

Taylor confirms the proprietary material, tonal characteristics, 351 shape, 1.25mm thickness and six-pick quantity in its official product description.
