  • Wired XLR Convenience from a Wireless Favourite: The SM35-XLR brings the proven SM35 headset to standard wired XLR setups via the included RPM400 inline preamplifier — no bodypack transmitter required.
  • Tight Cardioid Pattern for Stage Use: Unidirectional cardioid pickup rejects off-axis sound sources, monitor bleed, and stage noise — engineered for loud environments where feedback control is critical.
  • Flexible Gooseneck Boom for Precise Placement: Adjustable boom positions the capsule exactly where you need it for consistent level and isolation, regardless of how much you move.
  • Consistent Gain Across Wired and Wireless: The RPM400 preamp’s active gain circuit matches the output level of a wireless bodypack — switch between setups without adjusting your console.
  • High SPL Handling: 151.3 dB maximum SPL and 116.5 dB dynamic range make it capable in high-volume environments from drum kits to live vocal stages.
  • Dual Connectivity: Ships with both TA4F (TQG) and XLR connectivity — use it wired today, convert to wireless bodypack use when needed.
  • Lightweight and Long-Wearing: At just 72 g, the low-profile wireframe design stays secure and comfortable through extended performances and rehearsals.

Shure SM35-XLR Cardioid Headset Microphone with Inline XLR Preamp

For performers who need both hands free and both ears in the mix, the Shure SM35-XLR delivers headset microphone performance that can stand up to any stage — now in a wired XLR configuration.

The SM35 has long been the trusted choice of multi-instrumentalists, vocalists, and fitness instructors who demand reliable, consistent audio without the bulk of a traditional mic stand. Its tight cardioid polar pattern keeps off-axis noise and monitor bleed out of the signal, while the flexible gooseneck boom lets you dial in the exact placement for your voice. The result is clear, intelligible audio whether you’re behind a drum kit, on a fitness stage, or performing in an arena.

The SM35-XLR variant includes the inline RPM626 preamp, enabling the SM35 to be used in standard wired XLR applications — the same microphone trusted on wireless bodypacks, now available as a direct wired solution for installed sound, broadcast, and theatre applications where phantom power is available.

The RPM400 preamp features an active gain circuit that mimics the level output of a wireless bodypack, so switching between wired and wireless doesn’t mean recalibrating your mix. Phantom power (12–52 V DC) is required at the XLR input.

Ideal for multi-instrumentalists, vocalists, fitness instructors, theatre performers, and broadcast presenters who need hands-free audio in a wired installation.
