Instead of copying a single historical pickup design, DiMarzio combined desirable characteristics from several classic Telecaster pickups to create a sound that responds naturally to different playing styles.

One of the Twang King Neck’s defining qualities is its exceptional sensitivity to picking strength. Gentle picking produces softer, cleaner tones, while more aggressive playing creates a stronger attack and louder, more open sound.
