DiMarzio Area T Neck Hum-Cancelling Telecaster Pickup – Chrome, Gold

DiMarzio Area T Neck Hum-Cancelling Telecaster Pickup – Chrome, Gold

Experience classic Telecaster warmth, smooth articulation, and exceptional tonal clarity with the DiMarzio DP417 Area T Neck Hum-Cancelling Pickup. Designed for guitarists who appreciate the expressive character of traditional Telecaster neck pickups but prefer quieter performance, the Area T Neck combines vintage-inspired sound with DiMarzio’s advanced stacked hum-cancelling technology.

Developed using innovations from DiMarzio’s acclaimed Area 58 and Area 61 pickups, the Area T Neck captures the familiar warmth and clarity of a traditional Telecaster neck pickup while significantly reducing unwanted electrical noise. Its carefully balanced design produces a smooth, full-bodied response without sacrificing the detail and articulation that players expect from a classic Telecaster.

One of the defining characteristics of the Area T Neck is its ability to remain clear even when paired with heavy overdrive. Traditional Telecaster neck pickups can sometimes become muddy under higher-gain conditions, but the Area T Neck is designed to preserve note definition and maintain a smooth, musical response.

Equipped with Alnico 2 magnets, the pickup delivers a balanced tonal character with warm lows, expressive midrange, and controlled treble. Its stacked hum-cancelling construction reduces interference without requiring a battery, making it suitable for conventional passive electric guitar electronics.

With a manufacturer-rated 95mV output, the Area T Neck focuses on vintage-style sensitivity rather than aggressive output. Its responsive character makes it particularly suitable for blues, country, jazz, classic rock, and other musical styles that benefit from articulate clean tones and expressive lead playing.

The pickup is designed to work with traditional 250kΩ volume and tone controls, preserving a familiar Telecaster response. Guitarists seeking additional brightness and output can also use 500kΩ controls, offering flexibility when tailoring the instrument’s sound.

Featuring four-conductor wiring, the Area T Neck allows integration with compatible switching arrangements while maintaining the hum-cancelling benefits of its stacked design.

Designed specifically for the neck position of compatible Telecaster-style electric guitars, it retains the familiar covered-pickup appearance associated with traditional Telecaster instruments.

Available in Gold Cover (DP417G) and Chrome (DP417C), both versions deliver identical core performance with different visual finishes.

Whether you’re upgrading a traditional Telecaster or building a customised electric guitar, the DiMarzio Area T Neck offers an excellent combination of vintage warmth, modern noise reduction, and outstanding clarity for expressive guitar performances.
