September is recognised as National Piano Month — a time when musicians, educators, and music lovers celebrate the piano’s timeless influence on culture and creativity. At Emusic, we believe there’s no better way to honour the piano than by giving musicians a stage to showcase their dedication and artistry. That is why we created the Wilh. Steinberg (WST) Festival Piano Competition — a platform where musicians can test their skills, grow in confidence, and connect with a supportive community.
But this year, the celebration expanded beyond the piano. For the first time, violinists were invited to join the competition, further enriching the festival and offering more opportunities for musicians to shine.
As musicians, polishing your skills is essential to becoming a skilled player. Held on 23rd and 24th August 2025 at the M World Hotel, the second edition of the competition featured both piano and violin categories. Participants could choose to enter one or both categories, with fees covering both competitor and audience admission.
For two full days, our team ensured smooth operations so that participants and families received clear instructions. Practice rooms were made available, complete with digital pianos, while a Wilh. Steinberg grand piano served as the official competition instrument.
This year’s competition brought together a diverse group of participants — from young beginners taking their first steps on stage to seasoned performers eager to challenge themselves. Their dedication and passion were evident in every performance, making the event both inspiring and memorable.
Guiding and evaluating them was our esteemed panel of judges, a group of highly respected musicians and educators who lent their expertise and encouragement throughout the competition.
