The Vic Firth Nova 5A, 5B, and 7A are Vic Firth’s budget-friendly drumstick line, delivering the same trusted quality and performance as the iconic American Classic® series at a significantly more accessible price point — making them the perfect choice for beginners, students, and budget-conscious drummers who refuse to compromise on feel and playability.
Nova drumsticks are crafted and tested the same way as the Vic Firth American Classic drumsticks, featuring the same hickory that is weight-sorted and tone-paired using Vic Firth technology — the only difference being that they are crafted from the hickory left over from the American Classic manufacturing process, yet still tested to ensure the same durability, playability, response, and sound.
