In 2014, we embarked on our journey as Nippon Piano, with a primary focus on providing exceptional piano services and offering a wide range of secondhand pianos. Our first store opened, leveraging over 30 years of expertise in the piano industry.
By 2017, our founder identified a significant gap in the market: secondhand pianos were often aged and pricey. Determined to offer more diverse and affordable options to our customers, he sought a collaboration with Parsons Music, the third-largest piano manufacturer in China. This partnership enabled us to acquire the license to sell new pianos, including renowned brands like Schonbrunn and Wilh. Steinberg.
Our mission was to present better, alternate choices to our valued customers, ensuring they had access to high-quality instruments at reasonable prices.

Later on, our founder recognized the market’s shift towards digital platforms, understanding that the digital market represented the future of retail. To keep pace with these changes and expand our offerings, we rebranded as Emusic in 2019.
Under our new name, we began promoting a diverse range of musical instruments and launched our e-commerce platform. This transition allowed us to broaden our reach and better meet our customers’ needs. In addition to musical instruments, we also started offering a wide selection of music books, catering to both novice and experienced musicians.
Our vibrant logo symbolizes the joy and diversity of music, bringing a sense of happiness to all who see it. With this fresh identity, we aim to continue our mission of spreading the love of music to a broader audience.
In August 2021, we seized the post-COVID opportunity to expand our presence by venturing into the Johor Bahru (JB) market. Recognizing the need for a one-stop music instrument shop in the area, we identified a gap: the absence of Kawai and Roland service centers. To address this, we introduced a wider range of brands to the JB market.
This strategic expansion also aimed to attract customers from Singapore, offering them access to high-quality secondhand pianos and exceptional service. By bridging this gap, we not only provided more options for local customers but also positioned ourselves as a regional hub for top-notch musical instruments and services.
In May 2023, we expanded by opening a new branch in Petaling Jaya (PJ), followed by another in Kepong two months later.
As authorized dealers for various renowned brands, we recognized the importance of showcasing our wide range of musical instruments across different regions to boost brand and store awareness. Our expanded inventory included high-quality instruments from brands such as Mayga for digital pianos, Covenant and Crafter for guitars, and Kai for ukuleles.
Additionally, we established a music academy to provide classes and products for all levels of musicians. This expansion reflects our commitment to bringing quality musical experiences and education to a broader audience.
Built on integrity and attention to detail, we have earned a reputation for reliability, with clients returning for generations. Our commitment to excellence ensures that every instrument we handle is treated with the utmost care.
Whether restoring a family heirloom piano, preparing a concert grand, or offering a wide selection of other musical instruments and theory exam books, we treat every instrument and resource as a cherished legacy.
Ultimately, we are passionate about supporting your musical journey by providing quality instruments and the educational resources needed to excel.
